ABOUT ME
I am a white, Queer, cisgender woman, social worker and native New Yorker. Before going into individual therapy, I worked at Planned Parenthood for 5 years and provided support to patients seeking abortion care, sexual healthcare, crisis resources, and gender affirming surgeries and hormone care.
I approach therapy with an open heart and mind, using an integrated practice rooted in Trauma-Informed, Anti-Racist, Health at Every Size, and Reproductive Justice frameworks. I am sex/kink positive, sex work friendly, Health at Every Size (HAES)-aligned, and specialize in working with the LGBTQIA+ community. I believe in the inherent worth and dignity of all human beings as well as the potential for growth, joy, resilience and expansion.
I do not believe that there is a “one size fits all” model to anything, especially therapeutic treatment. I use my skills and training to gather and share tools that meet clients’ unique needs and take into consideration their individual identities and lived experience. I draw from several different therapy modalities, including Somatic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Feminist Psychotherapy. I bring a deep sense of warmth, compassion, empathy, humor, and collaboration to every session, and hope that I can provide a healing space in which you can learn, rest and grow.
I have always been a person who is curious about other people, and passionate about showing up in the world with kindness and empathy. Once I was able to experience affirming and effective therapy as a client, I saw how life-changing and wonderful it could be. Reaching out for help is such a courageous step, and I would love to work together and support you on your healing journey!
